Great write up Jammer.

I am curious, given the play off implcations for this game if the Blues will get up for this game or if they have to battle to get into it with a combination of physical fatigue and a mental let up.

A game like this could act like a tea leaf, but I suspect with the injuries there are likely some banged up players who will be skating.

So with the play of Allen and Sanford, has anyone changed their mind on calling for DA's resignation this year?

I think there is an interesting argument to be made about the benefits of the Hitch/Yeo experiment as well. I won't give DA too much credit for the way that's worked out though.

He still mishandled the situation completely. 2 coaches on 1 bench. the time it took for him to trade Shatty knowing full well he would not stay here.

The Miller trade, so many others. Its time for me to leave for the game

No GM is right 100% of the time. I think he's done pretty well with this roster despite never being able to draft that stud #1 center.

Yeo was clearly not the problem in Minny. Good Lord, they are imploding worse than the Blues did three years ago.

Bad night for J bo, he turned the puck over at least 5 or 6 times. Flames did a pretty good job of slowing down the transition game though.

slow game tonight. not sure if it was the playoff type game due to points being needed on both sides or not. Blues winning streak and Calgary's losing streak. Had a bad feeling going into the game.

Didn't beat Elliot clean but Brouwer sure beat Allen clean. Off angle for that shot.

Great move by Barbashev to create a better shot for himself and then to follow up and find the rebound was great.

Not too upset that we lost a game to a playoff team, upset we lost but oh well. Bring a better game on Monday.

Sharks are tanking big time. last i saw 7-0 for the Panthers. WOW

Find out first who each team matches up against in the playoffs. Calgary could win a few rounds. Pacific is open for anyone at this point. Sharks are going down early. I dont think Edmonton has it quite yet and will go out in the 1st round. Anaheim, eh. they are what they are. They are a team that can be beaten. Chicago looks good at this point. Minny is going down, probably quick. Nashville scares me a bit with Rinne. He might not be the goalie he once was but if he gets on a tear then watch out.

Sharks played Nashville and that was not 7-0 at any point. It was 4-2 going into the third.

The Panthers beat Chicago 7-0.

If I had that much of a cushion at this point I would experiment as a coach two games. Try some crazy stuff. It throws off the scouts, the video and shows you some possibilities. Or heck maybe the Panthers got up wuick and you just avoid injuries....

Tough one last night. Need to keep putting points up to get out of the 8th spot. A first round date with Chicago is probably not conducive to a long playoff run and is certainly not conducive to maintaining a healthy blood pressure.

I agree. Normally I'd say lets go ahead and take on Chicago and knock them out right off the bat but with no Fabbri and some pretty young players in the lineup, I'd be happy with them just getting to the second round this year.

Gotta love the play of the third line though. I don't think we would ever see a line of Paajarvi, Barbashev, and Sanford with Hitchcock behind the bench.

While Chicago has some great players they have a lot of young ones. They have escaped a lot of injuries and they do not have to depth to overcome missing their better players.

I think the Blues have as good of a chance as any other team.
